Grand Ely Lodge is located on the shores of
Shagawa Lake in
Ely Minnesota, which
is well known for its population of fish and a local favorite
spot. Under the catch and release program last year a 26"
Walleye was reported and let go. Along with a 43" Northern Pike;
a 21.5" Smallmouth Bass; a 19.5" Largemouth Bass just to name a
few.

Meet The Guide - Jim Orcutt
I have been fishing and guiding in the Ely area for over 10
years and for the past 2 years have been fishing on the In
-Fisherman Professional Walleye Trail.
Trips are provided for all type of experience levels from having
none to the experienced fisherman.
A day of fishing consists of jig fishing or trolling spinners
with live bait or trolling or casting crank baits.
What is provided - All rods and reels if needed, bait, tackle,
gas and life jackets
What to bring - Good raingear, sunglasses, a hat, camera,
sunscreen, licenses, beverage and come with the high hope of
catching your limit and taking in some the most beautiful
scenery the area has to offer.
Trip locations - are on area
motorized lakes and the motorized portion of Basswood when
permits are available. |
