Ely Minnesota, gateway to the famed Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, has been known for years as the "Canoe Capital of the World." Located on scenic Shagawa Lake across from the historic Pioneer Mine, Grand Ely Lodge is just one mile from downtown Ely. The full-activity lodge is located on ten acres in the beautiful north woods among the many pristine lakes that cover Minnesota's northland. Hiking, biking and snowmobile trails abound and the fishing and wildlife make each day an adventure.

Listen to the sounds of Spring in the north country as it appears from under its blanket of snow. View area wildlife, smell the flowers, and then relax in one of our 61 comfortably equipped rooms - most with a spectacular view of Shagawa Lake. Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is at noon.
